Saregama acquires NAV Records catalogue to strengthen its Haryanvi & regional music presence across India.

Saregama India has acquired the music catalogue of NAV Records Pvt. Ltd., a key player in the Haryanvi music segment. The deal brings over 6,500 tracks across genres such as Haryanvi, Punjabi, Ghazals, Devotional, and Indie Pop into Saregama’s growing content library.

As part of the acquisition, popular YouTube assets including NAV Haryanvi and Nupur Audio — which jointly command more than 24 million subscribers — have also been integrated into Saregama’s digital network. These channels host a range of viral tracks such as Coco ColaParvati Boli Shakar Se, and Loot Liya, adding significant reach and engagement value.

This move addresses a gap: Haryanvi was one of the few major language segments where Saregama lacked dominance. The acquisition establishes it as a stronger player across all leading Indian regional markets.

Going forward, Saregama and NAV Records plan to jointly develop new Haryanvi and Punjabi music content, aligning with Saregama’s strategy to build high-value music IP across languages and genres.

The acquisition also reinforces Saregama’s broader growth plan. In FY25 alone, the company acquired 22 music labels across seven languages, expanding its total library to over 170,000 songs, and cementing its position as one of India’s leading entertainment IP companies.

For fans of Haryanvi and Punjabi music, this acquisition means access to a richer, more diverse music catalogue through Saregama’s platforms. With popular tracks now under one roof and new content in development, listeners can expect an enhanced music experience across streaming services and digital platforms.

Saregama’s acquisition of NAV Records marks a significant step in strengthening its Haryanvi and regional music ecosystem. By integrating a vast music catalogue, popular YouTube channels, and a collaborative content creation strategy, Saregama is poised to lead the Indian music industry. As the company continues to expand its library and digital footprint, music lovers can look forward to a vibrant and diverse range of regional music offerings.
