Independent music company Music Gets Me High (MGMH) has expanded its operations with the launch of an in-house marketing division and the introduction of physical music distribution services, including vinyl and CDs.
Founded as an artist management company nearly two decades ago, MGMH has gradually broadened its scope in response to changes in India’s independent music sector. Over time, the company has added education, consulting, and distribution to its portfolio, positioning itself as a multi-service organisation working across different stages of an artist’s career.
Its move into physical formats comes at a time when vinyl continues to see renewed interest globally. MGMH says the new vertical is aimed at enabling Indian independent artists to access physical releases without depending entirely on overseas manufacturing and distribution networks. The company will offer end-to-end support covering both digital and physical formats.
Founder Ritnika Nayan said the expansion reflects the company’s long-term approach to artist support. “We have focused on building practical systems that artists can use over time, rather than chasing short-term growth,” she said.
In parallel, MGMH’s Connect division continues to work with international music companies entering the Indian market, while facilitating cross-border opportunities for Indian artists.
Nineteen years after its launch, MGMH now operates across management, education, marketing, distribution, and consultancy. The company says its focus remains on developing sustainable career pathways for independent musicians in India.
