Faheem Abdullah announces debut India tour ‘The Unbecoming Tour’

The six-city run, produced by Team Innovation, will take the Srinagar singer-songwriter to New Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Mumbai

After several years of building his audience through recorded music, Faheem Abdullah is set to take his catalogue on the road for the first time with The Unbecoming Tour, his debut national tour.

Produced and promoted by Team Innovation, the six-city tour will take place across November and December 2026, with shows scheduled in New Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

The tour marks a shift for Abdullah, whose music has largely found its audience through streaming and digital platforms. Rather than leaning into large-scale spectacle, The Unbecoming Tour is positioned around a more intimate live setting, bringing together acoustic arrangements, storytelling and the emotional core of his songwriting.

Abdullah’s music draws from indie folk, contemporary rock and ghazal influences, with Urdu and Kashmiri featuring prominently in his songwriting. His work has also reflected his Srinagar roots, particularly through the acoustic-driven material that established his early following.

“I think this new chapter is about stripping away the formal identity of being an artist and unlearning everything the industry expects of me,” says Abdullah. “I am pulling back the layers to share the most authentic, unfiltered side of my musical DNA. I want these shows to feel like a sanctuary, a place where we can silence the outer chaos and build something beautiful together. I can’t wait to get onto that stage and meet the very people who carried this movement from day one.”

For Team Innovation founder Mohit Bijlani, the tour reflects the growing space for independent artists within India’s live circuit. “We are incredibly proud to partner with Faheem Abdullah as India’s live entertainment scene undergoes a fan-driven revolution,” he says. “He is a generational voice commanding a fiercely loyal community, proving that independent music is no longer a subculture but a commercially viable headline act.”

Abdullah’s rise has been closely tied to songs such as ‘Ishq’, from his album Lost;Found, as well as his appearance on Coke Studio Bharat with ‘Hoor’. His work has since extended into Bollywood, including ‘Chand Mera Dil’ and, most significantly, ‘Saiyaara’.

‘Saiyaara’ reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 and entered the Billboard Global 200 Top 10, becoming the first Hindi-language song to reach the chart’s Top 10. The success has brought Abdullah’s music to a substantially wider audience, setting the stage for his first national live run.

Tickets for The Unbecoming Tour will be available exclusively on thumpN, with general sales opening on September 5, 2026 at 2pm IST.
