Warner Music Group (WMG) has officially opened a new global product and engineering hub in Bengaluru, expanding the company’s technology operations in India.
The new facility will develop products and infrastructure for WMG’s global technology ecosystem, with a focus on core business systems, data architecture and artificial intelligence.
Led by Mahesh Rao, Director of Software Engineering and Site Lead, the Bengaluru team will work on products used across WMG’s global operations. Its responsibilities will include contributing to architectural decisions and developing systems for music distribution, data processing, audience insights and marketing.
The hub will also work on AI systems for forecasting and trend analysis, alongside enterprise backend infrastructure, high-throughput data pipelines and other data products.
The Bengaluru facility follows a 12-month incubation period during which WMG established its engineering capabilities in the city.

WMG is currently hiring for engineering, machine learning, product management and technical leadership roles as it continues to expand the Bengaluru team.
