W.i.S.H., India’s first girl group in over two decades, talks Pop, sisterhood, and global ambitions.
Meet W.i.S.H.—India’s first girl group in 20+ years, redefining Pop with sisterhood and global dreams.

The Hello Group (THG) India has announced an exclusive worldwide management and bookings deal with W.i.S.H., marking a significant step for Indian pop. The four-member group — Ri, Zo, Sim, and Suchi — is India’s first all-girl pop act in more than 20 years, and is being positioned to scale both domestically and internationally.

Formed under the guidance of composer-producer Mikey McCleary and signed to Sony Music India through McCleary’s DreamPop Entertainment, W.i.S.H. have quickly built momentum in the Indian pop ecosystem. The group first drew national attention when they performed the official anthem for the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup 2024. Since then, they have released five singles, including Bolo Bolo, the lead track from their debut album Sweetburn (2025), which has featured prominently across Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube Music playlists.

With more than 220,000 Instagram followers and millions of cumulative streams, the band has received coverage from outlets including BBC Asian Music Network, Times of India, India Today, Rolling Stone India, and Mid-Day. W.i.S.H. is carving out a distinctive space as one of the few homegrown pop groups actively competing in the global girl group arena.

Under the new partnership, THG India will oversee A&R, marketing, branding, live performance strategy, and international positioning for the group. The collaboration builds on THG’s model of combining international expertise with domestic insight, and follows its broader push to identify and develop Indian talent with cross-border potential.

Commenting on the deal, W.i.S.H. said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to join hands with The Hello Group as our management partners. It’s the perfect next chapter for W.i.S.H. Together, we’re excited to keep pushing Indian pop onto the global stage while staying true to our vision.”

Mikey McCleary, who created and mentors the group, added:

“W.i.S.H. is more than just a girl band — each member brings her own unique fire and individuality, and together they create something powerful and fresh. Partnering with The Hello Group to represent them is the natural next step to take this vision worldwide.”

Taylor Jones, CEO of The Hello Group, positioned W.i.S.H. as a potential cultural movement:

“The global girl group market is highly competitive, but W.i.S.H. has the creativity, individuality, and ambition to stand out. We see them not only as a pop act but as icons and role models for young women from South Asia worldwide.”

For THG India — a joint venture between Sony Music Entertainment India and The Hello Group — the signing reflects its ongoing strategy of building long-term careers for South Asian talent while reshaping the narrative for Indian pop on the international stage.

This signing is a strategic action for THG India—a joint venture between Sony Music Entertainment India and The Hello Group. It directly supports the company’s ongoing mission to build sustainable, long-term careers for South Asian artists while actively reshaping the global narrative around Indian pop music.
