HYBE to host first Weverse Con Festival outside Korea in India

HYBE is bringing its Weverse Con Festival to India for the first time. The two-day festival will take place on 27 and 28 March 2027 in New Delhi, marking the festival’s first edition outside South Korea.share head

The India edition will bring together K-pop and Indian artists, with live performances, fan-focused experiences and collaboration stages forming the core of the festival. The event will also incorporate interactive experiences and brand activations built around the relationship between artists and their fan communities.

The festival is based on the fan culture built around Weverse, HYBE’s global fan platform. Alongside performances, the India edition will include opportunities for fans to interact with artists and other fans, extending the Weverse experience into a physical festival environment.

Jason Jaesang Lee, CEO of HYBE, said the India edition is part of the company’s “multi-home, multi-genre” strategy and its plans to expand its presence in the Indian market.

“Weverse Con Festival India marks a new chapter in our ‘multi-home, multi-genre’ strategy and reflects our commitment to India as a key market in HYBE’s global growth,” said Lee. “By bringing HYBE’s global capabilities together with India’s creativity, we aim to create a festival that expands our ecosystem through experiences that resonate with local audiences.”

Zooil Yang, President of Weverse Company, said the festival will allow the company to extend its digital fan platform into a live environment.

“We are thrilled to join HYBE to deliver Weverse Con Festival India to one of the world’s most vibrant K-pop fan communities,” said Yang. “Through the festival, we are excited to extend our innovative services and fan experiences beyond the screen and into a live setting.”

Weverse Con Festival India is being co-produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, the live entertainment division of BookMyShow. The company has previously worked on K-pop concerts and events in India and will handle the festival’s local production and promotion. Tickets will be sold exclusively through BookMyShow.

Kia India, Mastercard, Project B and Samsung are presenting partners, while NONGSHIM is an associate partner. Mastercard cardholders will have access to a ticket pre-sale.

The festival will feature artists from both the K-pop and Indian music scenes, with the lineup and further details expected to be announced at a later stage.

The India launch also comes as HYBE expands its local operations. HYBE INDIA, based in Mumbai, has been conducting auditions across the country while working on talent development, content production and the expansion of HYBE’s intellectual property in the Indian market.

With Weverse Con Festival, HYBE is taking another step in its push to build a stronger presence in India, combining its K-pop ecosystem and fan platform with the country’s growing live music market.
