Amazon Music links streaming with live events via Bandsintown

Bandsintown is extending its partnership with Amazon Music to integrate concert listings directly into the streaming platform, linking listening behaviour with live event discovery.

Under the integration, tour dates uploaded via Bandsintown for Artists will appear on artist profiles within Amazon Music. Users can view upcoming shows while streaming and are redirected to Bandsintown to complete ticket purchases.

The rollout is underway across global markets and will be available across iOS and Android for all Amazon Music users, regardless of subscription tier.

For artists and teams, the update reduces the need to manage listings across multiple platforms. Once connected, events published or updated on Bandsintown will automatically reflect on Amazon Music. The same applies to venues, promoters and festivals using Bandsintown Pro, whose listings will also surface within the service.

The partnership builds on an earlier integration between the two companies around merchandise, where Amazon Music’s merch catalogue was made available through Bandsintown. With ticketing now added, the collaboration moves closer to covering both key revenue streams tied to fandom: merch and live.

Bandsintown, which reports over 100 million registered users, has positioned itself as a backend data layer for live music discovery across platforms. This integration extends that role into a major streaming environment, where discovery typically ends at playback.

Fabrice Sergent, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Bandsintown said, “Artists win when fans can find their concerts just as easily as they find their music. Live shows drive artists’ careers because of the remarkable experience they bring to fans and we make promoting them effortless. Being listed once on Bandsintown automatically reaches core audiences everywhere and now powering concert listings on Amazon Music will extend artists’ reach to even more fans worldwide.”

Karolina Joynathsing, Director of Business Development, Amazon Music said, “Live music is one of the most powerful ways fans connect with the artists they love—something we’ve seen firsthand through the livestream performances we’ve brought to fans worldwide. That’s why we’re thrilled to team up with Bandsintown, so fans can now discover upcoming shows from the artists they love on Amazon Music, alongside streaming their music, catching exclusive livestreams, shopping merch, and more all in one place.”

For streaming services, the move reflects a broader shift towards retaining users within a single ecosystem beyond audio. For live, it highlights how ticketing visibility is increasingly being shaped upstream, at the point of listening rather than through standalone discovery platforms.
