Lollapalooza India will return to Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 23 and 24, 2027, with its fifth edition bringing a mix of international acts and Indian artists across four stages.
The 2027 lineup includes several artists making their India debuts, including nu-metal band Limp Bizkit, R&B/pop artist Olivia Dean, girl group KATSEYE, Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds Of Summer and Irish rock band Fontaines D.C.
The festival will also feature rock artist St. Vincent, EDM producer Steve Angello, Japanese DJ-producer Yousuke Yukimatsu, and Stewart Copeland of The Police, who will perform alongside Bengaluru-based composer-producer Ricky Kej.
Copeland and Kej will present Police Beyond Borders, based on the 2023 album that brought together Indian artists including Salim-Sulaiman, Shankar Mahadevan, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash and the Berklee Indian Ensemble, alongside musicians from around the world.
Among the Indian acts on the bill is Anuv Jain, who is set to present a festival-specific performance built around a distinct sonic and visual world. The lineup also includes Indian Ocean, Blackstratblues, Kayan, The Manganiyar Seduction, Scribe, Aditya Gadhvi and Varijashree Venugopal.
The festival’s heavier side will feature Ecca Vandal, Pinkshift and The Lightyears Explode, while Swadesi, Yashraj and Ranj x Clifr bring hip-hop into the mix. The indie contingent includes Meewakching, Janisht Joshi, Run It’s The Kid, Dohraj & The Peculiars and Karshni.
Olivia Dean arrives in India following a major breakthrough in her career. The British R&B/pop artist, known for Messy(2023) and The Art of Loving (2025), won Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammys. She had previously teased her India appearance on Instagram after fans signed up for information about the performance.
5 Seconds Of Summer will also make their first appearance in India. In a 2022 interview with Rolling Stone India, guitarist, vocalist and producer Michael Clifford said the band had always wanted to visit the country and that playing a show in India would be a dream.
KATSEYE, the Los Angeles-based girl group, will make its India debut as well. The currently active lineup includes Daniela Avanzini, Indian-origin Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung. It remains unclear whether Sophia Laforteza and/or Manon Bannerman will return in time for the festival, following their ongoing hiatus due to health issues.
Australian duo Empire of the Sun will bring their elaborate audio-visual show to Mumbai, with founders Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore joined by their live band. Known for tracks including “Alive,” “We Are The People” and “Walking on a Dream,” the duo’s performances are noted for their elaborate stage design and distinctive visual elements.
Fontaines D.C. will add another international rock debut to the lineup. The Irish band recently released “Marianne” and is set to release its fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, in October, bringing a darker, heavier edge to the festival’s rock programming.
With its mix of established international names, first-time India appearances and a broad selection of Indian artists, Lollapalooza India 2027 is set to span rock, pop, electronic, hip-hop, indie and fusion across its two-day Mumbai edition.
