Red Bull is bringing its global electronic music event, Red Bull Midsummer, to Mumbai on June 20, joining a worldwide celebration that will unfold across seven cities in a single day.
The event is part of a 28-hour programme that begins in Tokyo at sunrise and moves through Mumbai, Vienna, Berlin, London and New York before concluding in Los Angeles. Each city will host its own daytime gathering, with live video links connecting audiences across locations as the celebrations move from one time zone to the next.
In Mumbai, Red Bull Midsummer will feature 12 hours of electronic music alongside a range of immersive experiences designed around the daytime party format. The lineup spans multiple styles of dance music, including house, tech-house, techno, Afro, Latin and disco.
The bill is led by veteran DJ and producer Arjun Vagale, one of the most prominent names in India’s electronic music scene. He will be joined by Aminjaz, Stuvi, Gauriwho, Simsim and Luna.
Unlike traditional late-night electronic music events, Red Bull Midsummer is centred around the daytime experience, following the progression of the day from afternoon through sunset. The Mumbai edition will culminate with Vagale’s headline performance as the sun goes down.
The event forms part of Red Bull’s wider investment in electronic music culture globally, with each participating city contributing local artists and audiences to a shared international programme.
As dance music continues to grow across India, particularly in cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru and Goa, international event formats are increasingly finding local audiences. Red Bull Midsummer adds another global property to India’s electronic music calendar while showcasing a lineup of artists representing different corners of the country’s club culture.
