YouTube unveils Indian artists joining its Foundry Class of 2025, spotlighting the next wave of emerging independent talent.

YouTube has announced the three Indian artists joining its Foundry Class of 2025, singer-songwriter Pragati Nagpal, vocalist Tanishka Bahl, and Hip-Hop producer and emcee Chaar Diwaari. The selection reinforces YouTube’s growing role as a catalyst for artist development in India’s evolving music economy.

The Foundry program provides emerging artists with sustained support to scale their creative and professional growth. This includes strategic guidance on channel optimisation, promotional assistance for upcoming releases, and access to networking opportunities through exclusive industry events.

Each of this year’s artists represents a distinct facet of India’s independent music identity, spanning experimental Hip-Hop, contemporary pop, and cross-genre collaboration, underscoring the diversity and ambition shaping the country’s new generation of creators.

Chaar Diwaari: building from the ground up

At just 22, New Delhi-based emcee and producer Garv Taneja, known as Chaar Diwaari, has carved out a signature sound blending Hip-Hop with industrial electronic textures and psychedelic dubstep. Largely self-taught through YouTube, he learned production, video editing, and visual design, building a fully self-sufficient creative ecosystem.
Tracks such as Jhaag and Thehra showcase his approach to authenticity and experimentation. For Chaar Diwaari, creative integrity remains the core driver of his success and YouTube continues to serve as his primary platform to test, refine, and amplify that vision.

Pragati Nagpal: from bedroom covers to global stages

Pragati Nagpal began her journey during the lockdown, posting covers on YouTube with just her voice and guitar. Her direct engagement with fans helped her transition from online discovery to mainstream recognition, including Pehla Nasha 2.0 with Armaan Malik, representing India at Cannes, and touring with Himesh Reshammiya.
Her music — marked by melodic pop sensibilities and emotive storytelling — reflects YouTube’s ability to transform early digital discovery into sustainable, full-scale careers.

Tanishka Bahl: blending influences, building connection

Rooted in formal training and inspired by her mother’s musical background, Tanishka Bahl has developed a sound that fluidly bridges pop, indie, and Indian influences. Through her vlogs and music releases, she cultivates authenticity by sharing her process and personality, a quality that resonates with her growing audience. Initiatives such as UR Debut have further spotlighted her as an artist embracing transparency and evolution as core to her artistic journey.
