Wynk Studio honoured by IIRA for supporting independent music

The Indian Independent Record Labels Association (IIRA) has recognized the Wynk Studio team for its contributions to the Indian Independent Music Industry. Wynk Studio, a music distribution ecosystem for independent artists, has been actively engaging with artists across the country through workshops and sessions to support and promote their music.

Wynk Music has curated special playlists featuring songs from independent artists, driving their discovery and streams on the platform. This initiative has resulted in a surge of independent artists joining Wynk Studio and finding an audience for their music.

Moreover, Wynk Studio showcased the talent of five independent women artists at the Hornbill Music Festival, where they captivated the audience with their popular hits. The featured artists include Raveena Paul, Reena, Sugandha Garg, Himani Kapoor, and Bawari Basanti.

With over 2000 artists onboard, Wynk Studio serves as a platform for independent artists to monetize their music and build successful careers. The Wynk Music app facilitates discoverability for these artists, addressing challenges related to monetization and exposure.

Wynk Rewind 2023 highlighted indie artists such as Aditya Rikhari, Mali, Harsha Prawin, AR Anandh, Dheemusix, and Raj Burman, who gained traction on the app. Additionally, Wynk supported the distribution of independent singles and helped independent producers like LGF Studios promote their projects.

Continuing its commitment to diversity, Wynk Studio aims to amplify language and artist diversity on its platform, welcoming independent artists from various linguistic backgrounds. Notably, a significant portion of Wynk Studio’s sign-ups in 2023 came from non-metro cities, showcasing its impact in tier 2 and tier 3 cities across India and enriching its content library with diverse languages and cultures.
