TuneCore India has teamed up with Music Matters Live (festival/conference) to offer Indian artists a chance to showcase their talent on an international platform. The event, scheduled for May 10th in Singapore, presents an exciting opportunity for emerging musicians from India.
This collaboration provides a gateway for Indian artists who have released music through TuneCore. They now have the opportunity to apply for participation in the Music Matters Live festival and conference, slated to take place from May 7th to 11th. The selected artist or band will not only gain access to the entire conference but will also secure a coveted 20-minute performance slot at Clarke Quay, Singapore’s vibrant entertainment district.
The competition is open to TuneCore India artists across all musical genres and languages. Interested artists can submit their entries via TuneCore India’s Instagram account from April 8th to 15th, 2024. Alongside the usual music links, applicants are encouraged to include a 60-second video clip from a live performance to enhance their application. The winning artist or band will be notified by April 18th and will receive a trip to Singapore, along with a fixed token sum of ₹35,000.
In a press release announcing the initiative, TuneCore and Music Matters Live emphasized their commitment to providing independent Indian artists with a platform to showcase their music internationally. This collaboration not only offers exposure on a global scale but also provides valuable networking opportunities with fellow independent musicians from the region.
New Delhi singer-songwriter and producer Dhruv Visvanath has announced his participation in the festival, further enhancing the Indian presence at Music Matters Live.
