Women of Music India (WoMI), the not-for-profit initiative founded by media advisor and entrepreneur Priyanka Khimani, has completed the second edition of PWR Pose in Mumbai. The gathering brought together more than 120 creators, emerging talent, educators and industry professionals, positioning it as one of the more community-focused events within India’s music and creative sectors.
Held at Shutterbox, Excel Entertainment’s visual production facility, PWR Pose 2.0 continued its focus on identity and confidence-building for women working across the music ecosystem. This year’s edition broadened participation by including young creators and educators from underserved communities.

A central feature of the event was WoMI’s emphasis on visibility and access. Participants received professional headshots by photographer Aniruddh Kothari and his team, with styling support from Komal Sahijwani and her HMUA crew. The format was designed to offer emerging artists, executives and young creatives industry-standard visual assets and a dedicated space for self-representation.
A key addition to the 2025 edition was WoMI’s collaboration with The Dharavi Dream Project (TDDP). Performances and community-led activations from TDDP added a grassroots dimension to the evening, underscoring the event’s commitment to inclusive programming.
Teachers from The Sound Space were also part of this year’s cohort, widening the event’s remit by recognising the role of educators in developing new talent.
Throughout the evening, the programming blended portrait sessions, informal conversations, mentoring interactions and community presentations. While not structured as a networking event, it facilitated exchanges between creators from varied backgrounds and experience levels.
Speaking on the edition, Priyanka Khimani, Founder of WoMI, said:
“This year, PWR Pose became bigger in meaning, and not just scale. By collaborating with grassroots organisations and bringing upcoming talent and educators into industry spaces, we are reshaping what access can, and should, look like.”
With its second edition, PWR Pose reinforces WoMI’s broader mission of improving visibility and access for women and young talent within India’s music industry. The initiative continues to focus on representation, community partnerships and facilitating entry points for underrepresented groups.
