With a history spanning more than three decades, V Creations has produced over 40 films, many of which have been commercially successful and critically acclaimed. The company also maintains a strong online presence, with its YouTube channel attracting over 1.25 million subscribers.

As part of the partnership, V Creations is marking the 20th anniversary of the film Sachien with a planned re-release. The film, featuring actors Vijay, Genelia D’Souza, Bipasha Basu, and Vadivelu, remains well-regarded, particularly for its soundtrack composed by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP). In conjunction with this milestone, HD versions of the film’s songs Kanmoodi Thirakumbothu and Vaadi Vaadi have been released, generating renewed interest among audiences.

The agreement also involves Kalaipuli International Audios, which owns the rights to most of V Creations’ soundtracks. Through this collaboration, the company’s catalogue will also be distributed via Virgin Music Group’s network.

Amit Sharma, Country Manager for India and South Asia at Virgin Music Group, described the partnership as an opportunity to introduce regional Indian music to new listeners.

“This collaboration allows us to bring well-known songs from South Indian cinema to a wider global audience. We aim to support regional Indian music by providing the necessary distribution infrastructure and expertise,” Sharma said.

Kalaippuli S. Thanu, Proprietor of V Creations, noted that the partnership could help expand the reach of regional film music.

“Through this collaboration, we hope to make our music more accessible in new markets while showcasing the musical heritage of our films,” Thanu said.

The partnership is expected to contribute to the growing international presence of Indian regional film music, making it more widely available to audiences outside of its traditional markets.

The strategic partnership between Virgin Music Group and V Creations is set to revolutionize the accessibility of South Indian film music. By leveraging Virgin Music Group’s distribution expertise, V Creations’ soundtracks will reach a more extensive and diverse audience, cementing Tamil cinema’s global influence.
