The Hello Group India (THG India), a joint venture between Sony Music Entertainment India and global entertainment company The Hello Group, has signed Grammy-nominated and American Music Award-winning artist Raja Kumari to an exclusive worldwide management and bookings deal.
Raja Kumari’s Unique Musical Fusion
Raja Kumari blends her Telugu heritage with her Southern California upbringing. Her sound fuses classical Indian dance rhythms such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Kathak with hip-hop, pop, R&B and electronic textures.
Early Beginnings and Career Milestones
She began performing at the age of ten, having been named a child prodigy by Ravi Shankar. Over her career, she has become a leading cultural storyteller through both songwriting and performance.
Songwriting Career and Collaborations
As a songwriter, Raja Kumari has worked with artists including Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Gwen Stefani, Fall Out Boy, Fifth Harmony, Twin Shadow and John Legend. As a solo artist, she has released tracks such as NRI, City Slums and Peace, achieving more than 327 million global streams and 1.7 million monthly Spotify listeners.
She has also performed on major stages including Coachella, Wireless Festival and India’s NH7 Weekender, becoming the first Indian woman rapper to do so. In 2025, she became the first South Asian artist to win an American Music Award, with Renegade (We Never Run) from Arcane: League of Legends – Season 2 winning Favorite Soundtrack.
Her recent projects include composing Firestorm for the Telugu film They Call Him OG, which reached #2 globally on YouTube, and contributing to Netflix’s upcoming Bads of Bollywood soundtrack. She also founded the independent label Godmother Records.
