Introduction to Rajasthan Kabir Yatra 2025

The 8th edition of the Rajasthan Kabir Yatra, India’s longest traveling folk music festival, will take place from October 1 to 5, 2025, across Bikaner and the nearby villages of Kelan, Chhattargarh, Kalu, and Katariasar. Organized by the Malang Folk Foundation, the Yatra celebrates the poetry of mystics such as Kabir, Mira Bai, Bulleh Shah, Amir Khusrau, and Shah Latif, while spotlighting Rajasthan’s folk traditions.

A Movement of Music and Unity

A unique community-driven initiative, the Yatra is hosted entirely by local residents and unfolds as a traveling spiritual journey—blending music, storytelling, satsang, and village life. Since its inception, the festival has traveled through more than 100 villages across 14 districts in Rajasthan, creating spaces of cultural revival, unity, and shared humanity.

Yatra Participants & Experiences

This year, more than 250 yatris from India and abroad will travel alongside folk musicians, Sufi singers, storytellers, and contemporary bands. Each evening under the desert sky becomes a living satsang—a space for devotion, reflection, and collective experience. The Bikaner district administration, led by District Collector Namrata Vrishni, is extending full support to ensure the smooth execution of the festival.

Gopal Singh Chouhan, Founder of the Rajasthan Kabir Yatra and Malang Folk Foundation, said:
“The Rajasthan Kabir Yatra is not just a festival—it is a movement of remembrance and connection. It invites us to rediscover the wisdom of our mystic poets and the traditions of unity, harmony, and love. Each year, as yatris and villagers come together, the Yatra becomes a living satsang—a celebration of life itself. Our effort is to honor folk artists, revive fading traditions, and create a shared space of oneness.”

With its blend of music, mysticism, and community spirit, the Rajasthan Kabir Yatra 2025 promises a transformative journey for all who walk with it.
