Dolby Laboratories has teamed up with the renowned singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran for its latest global campaign – Love More in Dolby. The first part of the campaign features Ed Sheeran in a short concert vignette, exploring his latest hit “Magical” from his seventh studio album, Autumn Variations.
Directed by Grammy-nominated music video director Colin Tilley, the piece showcases how Dolby Atmos enhances artistic expression to its fullest creative capacity and how fans can love Sheeran’s music even more in Dolby.
Ed Sheeran shared his excitement, saying, “When Dolby Atmos first came out, I remember going around a mate’s house and trying it out and thinking ‘this is amazing.’ Seeing companies like Dolby continue to make music better pushes me as well because when you are in the studio, you want to make something that sounds perfect. I think it’s incredible that Dolby Atmos is pushing music to new boundaries.”
Fans of Ed Sheeran can delve deeper into “Magical” through an exclusive Dolby Atmos-powered digital fan destination, offering a firsthand experience of loving music more in Dolby. The site includes a behind-the-scenes interview where Sheeran discusses his first experience with Dolby Atmos, his approach to making music, and the creative direction behind his latest ballad.
The digital fan experience was launched in India on the 19th of February, 2024.
