Global music company Believe has unveiled Alibi (Pt. III) – India Remix, extending the international lifecycle of the track through a collaboration that brings together Sevdaliza, Pabllo Vittar and Yseult’s original anthem with Indian pop vocalist Jonita Gandhi and electronic producers Rusha & Blizza.
The India remix represents Believe’s latest push to integrate its global artist development strategy with local creative ecosystems, positioning Indian talent within a broader cross-border pop framework. The new version reworks the industrial pop foundation of the original into a hybrid soundscape that incorporates Indian instrumentation and contemporary electronic production.
Featuring tabla, sitar and pakhavaj layered over the track’s electronic structure, the remix blends Sevdaliza’s avant-garde aesthetic with Jonita Gandhi’s vocal interpretation and Rusha & Blizza’s production approach, creating a version tailored for both domestic and international audiences.
Sevdaliza described the project as a reflection of music’s ability to travel beyond linguistic and cultural boundaries, noting that the reinterpretation through Indian sound felt like a natural artistic evolution for the track. Jonita Gandhi echoed a similar sentiment, highlighting the opportunity to reinterpret a globally successful song for Indian listeners while preserving its emotional core.
Rusha & Blizza positioned the collaboration as a significant creative milestone, citing Sevdaliza’s influence on their experimental approach to pop production and calling the project a convergence point between global pop aesthetics and contemporary Indian identity.
From a strategic standpoint, Believe frames the remix as part of its broader commitment to facilitating global collaborations. Vivek Raina, Managing Director, Believe India, said the project exemplifies the company’s focus on enabling intercultural musical dialogue, while Romain Vivien, Global Head of Music at Believe, pointed to Alibi as a strong example of the company’s international artist development model, combining regional expertise with global reach.
The remix arrives alongside continued momentum for Rusha & Blizza, whose recent release “Zaar Zaar” featuring Farhan Khan has surpassed 6.5 million views on YouTube. Lyrically, the India remix is shaped by songwriter Prateeksha Srivastava, adding a further layer of localisation to the collaboration.
A music video accompanying the release visually expands on the project’s cultural hybridisation, blending contemporary global pop aesthetics with elements rooted in Indian visual traditions.
Alibi (Pt. III) – India Remix is now available across all major streaming platforms.
