Rest In Beats will fund a full year of technical coaching, life skills training and financial literacy education for 100 students in Mumbai. The ₹10 lakh commitment is meant to cover costs that usually put arts training out of reach for families with limited means.
The program runs through Salaam Bombay Foundation’s existing Creative Arts, Western Dance and Music Academies, which have trained more than 27,000 students since 2007. The Foundation points to research from the Harvard School of Public Health showing that students in these academies are more likely to stay in school than peers without access to similar programs.
Rest In Beats has built its business around covering artists once their work reaches an audience: the release, the campaign, the chart position. This partnership pushes that involvement further back, into the training years that decide who gets a shot at being covered in the first place.
The company frames the move as consistent with how it already works. Rest In Beats builds campaigns around what listeners are actually engaging with, treating that data as a starting point rather than a summary written after the fact. Backing arts education, the company says, follows the same logic: opportunity should come from real support, not just from who can already afford it.
