BookMyShow Live has announced the India tour of Def Leppard, marking the band’s first full-scale headliner run in the country. The tour will cover three cities in March 2026: Shillong on March 25 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Polo Grounds), Mumbai on March 27 at Jio World Garden and Bengaluru on March 29 at NICE Grounds.
General on-sale for tickets opens at 12 PM IST on December 13, 2025, exclusively on BookMyShow.
Speaking on the announcement, vocalist Joe Elliott said the band is looking forward to performing for Indian audiences. Guitarist Phil Collen noted that the India dates have been long anticipated by both fans and the band.
Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer – Live Events, BookMyShow, said the tour represents a notable moment for rock audiences in India and reflects a growing appetite for major international acts returning to the market. He added that the Bandland On Tour banner, under which these shows fall, is part of BookMyShow Live’s broader effort to scale rock and alternative programming across the country.
Def Leppard remain one of the most influential rock bands globally, with more than 110 million albums sold, two RIAA Diamond certifications and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Their catalogue includes Pyromania, Hysteriaand a long list of enduring singles such as Rock of Ages, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Animal and Foolin.
The band’s recent touring history includes a two-year global run with Mötley Crüe, selling more than 2.1 million tickets across 27 countries. In 2023, Def Leppard also released Drastic Symphonies, a collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra that reached No. 4 on the UK charts.
The Shillong leg of the India tour is supported by Meghalaya Tourism, with The Circus as event partner.
