Percept Live & Laqshya Media Group to present Bollyboom’s ‘Chak De India Tour’ with Salim–Sulaiman

Percept Live, in association with Laqshya Media Group, will take Bollyboom’s Chak De India Tour on the road in 2026, headlined by composer duo Salim–Sulaiman. The multi-city, ticketed concert tour marks 33 years of the duo’s career across film, independent music and live performance.

The first leg of the tour begins on 21 March 2026, with shows scheduled across Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore, Pune and Ahmedabad. Further dates and cities are expected to be confirmed as part of a second phase later this year.

Bollyboom, the live music IP behind the tour, traces its origins back over two decades to Bollywood Live, which was launched alongside Sunburn at a formative moment for India’s modern concert ecosystem. While Sunburn went on to shape the country’s EDM circuit, Bollywood Live evolved into Bollyboom, positioning Bollywood and Indian film music within a dance-led, large-format live environment.

Over time, the platform has moved beyond traditional playback concerts, combining film repertoire with electronic arrangements, club culture influences, immersive visuals and arena-scale production. Its past line-ups have featured artists such as Sonu Nigam, Shaan, KK, Diljit Dosanjh, Badshah, Yo Yo Honey Singh, B Praak, Guru Randhawa, Farhan Akhtar and Nucleya, alongside DJs including DJ Aqeel, DJ Chetas and DJ Suketu. Today, Bollyboom operates as a high-volume touring and festival-format IP within India’s live entertainment market.

A three-decade career on stage

Salim–Sulaiman’s career spans more than 30 years across Hindi cinema, independent releases and global touring. Beyond their film work, the duo has performed extensively across India, Europe, North America, Australia and the Middle East. Their international profile includes composing and performing at the FIFA World Cup, making them the only Indian artists to do so, as well as multiple Filmfare Awards and collaborations with global artists, including Lady Gaga.

The Chak De India Tour is timed to coincide with the festive period and is structured as a retrospective live set drawing from across the duo’s catalogue. Alongside well-known film anthems, including Chak De India, the shows will also feature material from their independent body of work, including selections from the Bhoomi project, which foregrounds folk and regional influences.

From a production standpoint, the tour is designed for scale, with city-specific builds, large-format staging and a strong visual narrative. Each stop is expected to draw a multi-generational audience, reflecting the longevity and reach of Salim–Sulaiman’s catalogue.

Speaking about the tour, Salim–Sulaiman said the run is rooted in reconnecting with listeners who have grown up with their music, adding that working with Percept Live and Laqshya Media Group allows the live experience to be delivered at a national touring level.

Shaju Ignatius, CEO and Chief Evangelist – Live Events at Laqshya Media Group, said the tour brings together music, emotion and storytelling in a format intended to move beyond conventional concert presentation, while reinforcing the group’s longer-term investment in India’s live entertainment infrastructure.

Karan Singh, CEO of Percept Live, said Bollyboom was conceived to present Bollywood music at scale while keeping the artist–audience relationship central, and that the Chak De India Tour reflects that approach through a sustained, multi-city touring model.
