He is the founder and strategic force behind multiple influential organizations — EMDI Institute, IISM, EVENTFAQS Media, Eva Live and MSEED— each representing a distinct but interconnected pillar of India’s live events and entertainment growth story. His work spans India, the Middle East, and global markets, earning the trust of major artists, brands, government bodies, and industry leaders.
Early Career & Music
Deepak’s professional journey began in 2002 with the founding of EMDI, the Premier Event Management School, which established one of India’s first comprehensive education frameworks for event and experiential careers. His early years were rooted deeply in culture, live events, and music-driven productions — shaping his understanding of how performance, storytelling, and audience experience intersect.
His passion for music and cultural entertainment later influenced the types of IPs he built, many of which celebrate artists, artistic craftsmanship, and creative excellence. These early foundations laid the groundwork for the large-scale concert and entertainment productions he would go on to lead under Eva Live.
Transition to Entrepreneurship
Deepak’s evolution into a full-scale entrepreneur was driven by a desire to professionalize and elevate India’s event and entertainment ecosystem. What began with building education platforms expanded into creating businesses and IPs that served every part of the industry value chain.
He co-founded the International Institute of Sports Management (IISM) with former Indian cricketer Nilesh Kulkarni — a bold move that sparked the beginning of formal sports management education in India. In 2007, he co-founded EVENTFAQS Media, India’s first B2B publication dedicated exclusively to the experiential and live events domain. This venture marked a pivotal shift in his career: from educator to ecosystem builder.
Following its success, Deepak continued expanding into entrepreneurship — launching Eva Live for large-format entertainment, and MSEED to train next-gen creative leaders. Each venture was built with a clear mission: to plug critical gaps in India’s cultural, educational, and entertainment infrastructure.
