Amplify Music Incubator launches online masterclass series for independent musicians

Amplify Music Incubator has launched Amplify Dōjō, an online masterclass series covering the practical aspects of building a music career, from financial planning and vocal technique to songwriting and artist well-being.

The first edition features four sessions scheduled between 21 October and 2 November. Artists, songwriters and producers can register for individual classes or sign up for the full programme. The sessions are open to musicians at any stage of their careers.

The programme includes Financial Planning for Your Music Career with Ashwin Nath on 21 October, covering finances and contracts; ReWire the Voice with Mahesh Raghunandan on 24 October, focused on vocal technique and reducing strain; and Abundance Mindset for Artists with Natasha Mahindra on 30 October, addressing the challenges of sustaining a creative career.

The series will also feature a three-day collaborative songwriting workshop with Tanish Thakker from 31 October to 2 November, focused on co-writing and building creative relationships.

Since 2021, Amplify Music Incubator has worked with more than 100 artists across eight incubator cohorts. According to the organisation, recurring questions around money management, vocal care and career sustainability informed the new initiative.

“The same questions come up every cohort. Dōjō lets us answer those questions for more people, not just the few we can take into the incubator each year,” said Tan Thakker, founder of Amplify.

With Dōjō, Amplify is extending its learning programmes beyond the limited number of artists it can accommodate through its incubator each year.

Registrations are open at linktr.ee/amplifyindia.
