Spotify Wrapped 2022: Arijit Singh crowned most streamed artist in India, third year in a row

The fourth edition of Spotify Wrapped has just dropped for the platform’s users, unveiling the top artists, songs, albums, and podcasts that were consumed by the streaming giant’s 45.6 crore listeners around the world.  Users can access their personalised 2022 Wrapped experience on the app at the 2022 Wrapped hub.

The list of India’s most streamed songs is dominated by “Excuses”by AP Dhillon and Gurinder Gill gaining a whopping 19 crore streams in 2022.

When it comes to the year’s most streamed albums, Sidhu Moosewala’s “Moosetape” has been chosen by Indian Spotify listeners, followed by “Shershaah”, AP Dhillon’s “Hidden Gems”, “Kabir Singh”, and Pritam’s “Brahmastra”.

There’s also ‘Your Listening Personality’ that provides details on music a user has listened to in addition to insights about their music taste. Watch out for 16 different Spotify-created ‘Listening Personality’ types based on their 2022 listening trends. Additionally, Audio Day isan interactive story that gives you a peek into how your music taste evolves throughout the day. 

There is also a host of Artist Messages from more than 40,000 artistsincluding Anirudh Ravichander, Anuv Jain, Armaan Malik, A.R. Rahman, Asees Kaur, Badshah, Billie Eilish, Darshan Raval, Prateek Kuhad, Raftaar, Ritviz, Shreya Ghoshal, Taylor Swift, and more.
