Global pop star and four-time Grammy Award winner Shakira will headline the third edition of the Feeding India Concert in 2026, marking the initiative’s first multi-city expansion. The Colombian artist is set to perform in Mumbai on April 10 and in Delhi on April 15.

The concerts are being organised by Feeding India in partnership with District by Zomato, and presented by HSBC India.

The move represents a significant scale-up for the Feeding India Concert, which has positioned itself as a music-led platform to raise awareness around hunger and malnutrition. This will also mark Shakira’s return to India after several years, following sustained demand from local audiences.

In a statement, Shakira said that performing in India has always been special to her, adding that the concert’s larger purpose aligns with her interest in child nutrition and welfare.

The multi-city format reflects the growing ambition of the initiative, which aims to combine large-scale live entertainment with social impact. Previous editions have focused on mobilising artists, corporate partners, and volunteers around the goal of Zero Hunger by 2030.

Shakira’s involvement also connects with her long-running philanthropic work through the Barefoot Foundation, which supports education and child development programmes globally.

Rahul Ganjoo, CEO of District by Zomato, described the 2026 edition as a major step in expanding the concert’s reach, highlighting music’s role in driving public engagement around social issues.

Feeding India continues to work across multiple fronts, including school meal programmes, government partnerships, and youth-led volunteer networks. The concert functions as a public-facing platform within this wider ecosystem.
