Scorpions set India return after nearly two decades with April 2026 tour

Scorpions announce India return with April 2026 tour after nearly two decades
Rock legends Scorpions confirm their India return with an April 2026 tour.

German hard rock veterans Scorpions have announced their Coming Home 2026 tour, confirming a four-city India run that marks their return to the country after nearly two decades. Produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, the tour underscores India’s growing stature on the global touring circuit, particularly for legacy rock acts.

The band will perform in Shillong on April 21 at JN Stadium, followed by Delhi-NCR on April 24 at HUDA Grounds, Bengaluru on April 26 at NICE Grounds, and Mumbai on April 30 at Jio Gardens, BKC.

Ticket sales will roll out in phases, with an Artist Pre-Sale opening on Wednesday, January 14 at 12 PM IST. This will be followed by an exclusive pre-sale for Kotak Mahindra Bank credit card customers on Thursday, January 15 at 12 PM IST. General ticket sales go live on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1 PM IST, exclusively on BookMyShow.

Commenting on the announcement, vocalist Klaus Meine said the band was “incredibly excited” to return to India after such a long gap, adding that the concerts would be a special experience both for the group and their fans. Guitarist Rudolf Schenker noted that, six decades after the band’s formation, bringing the Coming Home concerts to India would be a unique celebration. Fellow guitarist Matthias Jabs echoed the sentiment, describing the shows as “spectacular and unforgettable”.

Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer – Live Events at BookMyShow, described Scorpions’ return as a landmark moment for India’s live music ecosystem. He noted that the band’s cross-generational appeal and cultural impact reflect how far the country’s concert infrastructure and audience maturity have evolved, particularly for large-scale international rock tours.

The India leg forms part of Bandland On Tour, an extension of BookMyShow Live’s rock and alternative music IP, Bandland, as it expands to new markets across the country.

With a career spanning more than five decades, Scorpions remain one of the most commercially successful and influential rock bands in history. Since forming in 1965, the band has released 19 studio albums, sold over 120 million records globally and performed in more than 80 countries. Their catalogue includes enduring anthems such as Rock You Like a HurricaneStill Loving YouSend Me an Angel and Wind of Change, alongside landmark albums Love at First StingBlackout and Crazy World.

Founded by Rudolf Schenker, the band has long balanced melodic songwriting with arena-scale ambition. In India, their music has enjoyed a particularly organic afterlife, circulating through college hostels, cover bands and personal playlists long after their last visit. Framed as part of a farewell phase following the release of their final studio album, the 2026 tour carries a reflective weight, positioning the shows less as spectacle and more as a shared closing chapter with long-standing fans.

Kotak Mahindra Bank – Solitaire comes on board as Title Partner, with Jack Daniel’s Merchandise as Associate Sponsor. The Shillong concert is supported by Meghalaya Tourism, with The Circus serving as Event Partner.

Tickets and additional information are available via the band’s official website and BookMyShow.
