Veteran lyricist Gulzar launches NFTs on new marketplace Kulturemint

Indian cinema’s prolific lyricist and poet, Gulzar has collaborated with a new NFT marketplace Kulturemint to create NFTs of his poems like ‘Samandar’, ‘Lal Haveli’, ‘Baarish’ and ‘One-Sided Love’.

A new curated marketplace, Kulturemint has been founded by Govind Singh Sandhu (founder and COO of AntWorks); Archana Trasy, (founder and CEO of Work That Works) and Gautam B Thakker (founder and CEO of Everymedia Technologies). The new marketplace will be dedicated to Indian art and culture with an aim to simplify NFTs for the lay person.  

Govind Singh Sandhu said, “Ever since the idea of Kulturemint was conceived, it has been a platform that sought to bring artists closer to their fans and now that we are finally live, we cannot wait to deliver.”

Gautam B Thakker added, “The opportunity to associate with like-minded people only emboldens my confidence that Kulturemint will pave the way in making the untapped NFT sector a more transparent and accessible one.”

Archana Trasy said, “It is a privilege to launch our platform in collaboration with one of the greatest creative minds the country has ever seen.”

As per reports, there are about 11 NFT companies headquartered in India, closely behind the US and Singapore. According to a report released by the consulting and global research firm VMR (Verified Market Research), the value of the global NFT market is expected to reach $231 billion by 2030.

Closer home, TechInsight360’s Q2 2022 NFT Survey says that the NFT industry in India is expected to grow by a whopping 61.6% annually and reach $3394.2 million this year.
