JioSaavn data breaks down what India streamed most in 2025.

JioSaavn has released the results of its second India Superhits Awards, outlining the most-streamed songs and artists on the platform during 2025.

The rankings on JioSaavn are based on streaming and engagement data collected between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Winners were identified across ten languages: Hindi, English, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bhojpuri, Bengali, and Marathi, with five categories per language, including song, artist, composer, and lyricist.

Film Music Retains National Scale

Hindi film music continued to account for the largest volume of cross-regional consumption on JioSaavn. Saiyaara led streaming in the Hindi category, while Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal remained among the most consistently streamed vocalists on the platform.

Composer Tanishk Bagchi and lyricist Irshad Kamil also featured prominently, reflecting the continued influence of film-led soundtracks in shaping national listening patterns.

Regional and Southern Markets Show Stability

Regional-language catalogues maintained strong engagement in 2025, particularly in Bhojpuri and Marathi. Tracks such as Dilwa Le Ja Rumaal Me and Shaky recorded high repeat listens, while artists including Pawan Singh, Shilpi Raj, and Sanju Rathod sustained long-term audience interest.

Southern-language music continued to perform strongly across states and platforms. Artists and composers including Sid Sriram, Anirudh Ravichander, Jakes Bejoy, and Thaman S. ranked among the most-streamed across multiple listener segments, reinforcing the national reach of South Indian repertoires.

Consistent Performance in Bengali and English

Bengali music showed steady year-round consumption, with Anupam Roy leading the composer and lyricist categories. In English-language listening, international acts such as Ed Sheeran and Jennie remained dominant, reflecting the continued role of global pop within Indian streaming habits.

Emphasis on Long-Term Listening

According to the platform, the awards are intended to reflect cumulative listening rather than short-term viral trends. By focusing on year-round engagement, the data offers insight into both peak releases and catalogue performance.

From an industry perspective, the 2025 rankings indicate a market still anchored in film music at the national level, alongside increasingly resilient regional ecosystems.
