Dharma buys out Cornerstone stake, rebrands talent agency as DCAA

Dharma Productions has bought out Cornerstone’s stake in Dharma Cornerstone Agency and relaunched the venture as Dharma Collab Artists Agency (DCAA), consolidating full ownership of its talent representation arm. The restructured agency will now operate as Dharma’s exclusive platform for artist management across film, music, sports, digital media and live entertainment, signalling a broader strategic mandate for the production house.

Uday Singh Gauri continues as CEO, with Rajeev Masand remaining COO, underscoring a push for leadership continuity as the agency expands its scope. Gauri, who brings over two decades of experience across talent management, music, entertainment and brand partnerships, will lead the development of new verticals and cross-sector opportunities within DCAA.

The restructuring reflects Dharma’s longer-term ambition to evolve from a film-centric studio into a multi-disciplinary cultural enterprise, with talent management positioned as a central pillar of that strategy rather than a support function.

Apoorva Mehta, CEO of Dharma Productions, said the move formalises the company’s intent to play a deeper role in the creative economy. “Talent has always shaped Dharma’s identity, influencing both our creative choices and how we build for the future. With DCAA, we are creating a structured platform that supports artists across disciplines. This is a deliberate, long-term step.”

Gauri added that the agency’s focus extends beyond traditional representation models. “Artists today operate across formats and platforms. Effective representation now requires cultural understanding, business instinct and the ability to anticipate industry shifts. Our aim is to build long-term careers while creating clearer, more meaningful pathways between talent and opportunity.”

DCAA’s roster spans film, music and digital talent, including Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Disha Patani, Rasha Thadani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Harshvardhan Rane, Lakshya, Rohit Saraf, Neeti Mohan, Jonita Gandhi, Orry, Sumukhi Suresh, Anahita Shroff, Kareema Barry and Erika Packard.
