Chingari inks deal with Snow Records

Last month, short form video app, Chingari promoted the song ‘Bismillah 2’ that was launched by Snow Records on 25th November. Performed by Jazim Sharma, the song features Surbhi Jyoti and Rohit Khandelwal. The track was promoted through a contest and meet-and-greets with the song’s cast. This association marked the beginning of the relationship with Chingari and Snow Records that backs ‘Bismillah 2’. The newly launched label, Snow Records is owned by Hashtag Dream Entertainment, a brand management and digital promotion company.

The association marks the promotion of all new albums released by Snow Records on the Chingari app. “At Chingari, we majorly believe in extending our support to and promoting the upcoming artists, creators, brands and labels that have the capability of soaring high, when given the right opportunity,” said Sumit Ghosh, co-founder and CEO, in a statement. “Snow Records has great potential and talent associated with them, and we are very excited to have them on board with us.”

“In this new venture, we aim to create music to conserve the real traditional music of the country which is fading each passing day. Our first song ‘Bismillah 2’ is the perfect example of it,” Atmika Tiwari and TJ Bainsla, directors, Snow Records, said.

“We constantly try to create new trends for our creator community to make entertaining videos on, while enhancing their user experience as well as encouraging our viewers to spend more time on the app. We are looking forward to many songs that will be launched by Snow Records in the future,” Deepak Salvi, co-founder and COO, Chingari stated.

Earlier in November, Chingari also struck a deal with India’s oldest record label, Saregama. The label features a catalogue of more than 130 thousand songs across Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, Gujarati, and other Indian languages.
