Delhi-based independent record label, Azadi Records have launched Web3 venture, Nayaab.World to decentralise artist communities, supported by a tech partnership with MetaSky. The initiative supplements the upcoming Teen Dost tour – promoting hip hop ensemble Seedhe Maut (MC Calm and Encore ABJ) and producer Sez On The Beat’s latest album ‘Nayaab’. The tour will travel to Delhi, Mumbai and Pune and will culminate in the metaverse.

In addition to limited-edition merchandise, Nayaab.World also offers the hip hop community a chance to mint one of only 2,500 generative NFTs which enable access to perks like exclusive content, VIP tickets and more. “We’ve distributed 2,500 uniquely generated Nayaab.World NFTs for free,” says Uday Kapur, co-founder of Azadi Records. “Everything accessible on Nayaab.World is via blockchain. Even the ticketing for Seedhe Maut and Sez on the Beat’s Teen Dost tour is via blockchain.”

The Nayaab.World NFT collection has been created using a custom generative algorithm that combines individual high resolution layers from ‘Nayaab’, the album’s original cover art to create another unique version.

The four-year-long effort, termed as the Nayaab.World experience, that kickstarted on June 19 continued recently with the release of the music video for the song, ‘Maina’ and will extend till the launch of a documentary on August 10 after the Teen Dost tour. “Our vision for Nayaab.World is to redefine the relationship between artists and their communities. We built this alongside the boys to provide fans more access into Sez and Seedhe Maut’s universe,” say Uday Kapur and Mo Joshi, co-founders of Azadi Records.
