Zee Music Company has expanded its artist roster with the signing of singer, composer and pianist Adnan Sami for non-film music releases, alongside contemporary pop artist and producer QARAN.
The label said Sami will release a series of original singles under the partnership, marking a new phase of non-film music from the artist.

Adnan Sami, a Padma Shri recipient, has been active across Indian pop and film music for more than three decades. His catalogue includes well-known tracks such as Lift Karade, Kabhi To Nazar Milao, Tera Chehra and Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein.
He has also achieved international milestones during his career, including becoming the first Asian artist to sell out London’s Wembley Arena for two consecutive nights.
Through the partnership with Zee Music Company, Sami is expected to release new original material outside the film ecosystem.
The label has also signed artist and producer QARAN, known for blending Indian pop with global production styles. His catalogue includes Haaye Oye and the widely recognised track Tareefan, which became one of the most prominent pop crossovers in recent years.
The two signings come as Zee Music Company continues to expand its focus on artist-led releases alongside its film soundtrack catalogue.
Launched in 2014, the label has built a large catalogue across Bollywood soundtracks and non-film music.
Sujal Parekh, Chief Business Officer at Zee Music Company, said the signings reflect the company’s focus on expanding its artist roster beyond film projects.
Adnan Sami said the partnership would allow him to explore new musical directions while continuing to focus on melody-driven music.
QARAN said the collaboration would support his efforts to develop Indian pop with global production influences.
New music from both artists is currently in development.
