Early Career & Music

Priyanka began her career in the legal domain within the music industry at Times Music. Her career spans leadership roles at Zee Music Company, TM Ventures, DSK Legal, along with serving as General Secretary of The Indian Music Industry, where she contributed to shaping India’s music ecosystem.

Transition to Entrepreneurship

After building a strong foundation across legal and institutional roles, Priyanka transitioned into an independent advisory practice as a Music Rights Advisor, working directly with artists, labels, and media businesses. Expanding her entrepreneurial journey, she also co-founded Metastar Media with Shatadru Sarkar, marking a shift towards building democratic solutions at the intersection of creativity, and new-age media. This move reflects her focus on enabling creators and companies to navigate rights, monetisation, and strategic growth more effectively.
