Sony Music Entertainment is looking for a Senior Manager – Marketing (South) to lead high-impact campaigns across soundtracks, pop, and catalogue music.

This role combines creative storytelling, data-driven marketing, and artist development, ensuring campaigns achieve both commercial success and cultural relevance.

About the job

The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible to develop and execute creative marketing campaigns to promote Sony Music content (Soundtracks, Pop & Catalogue) across various avenues. This role will work closely with the artists, production houses and internal teams (digital and catalogue) to ensure that every campaign achieves both commercial success and cultural impact.

What you’ll do:
MARKETING CAMPAIGNS DESIGN & EXECUTION
  • Design and execute marketing campaigns for new releases, catalogue content and independent artists
  • Define campaign objectives, target audience, positioning, and budgets
  • Work with internal teams ensure cohesive rollouts
DIGITAL MARKETING AND AUDIENCE GROWTH
  • Drive social media growth through consistent & creative content posting
  • Run promotional campaigns across socials through influence tie-ups
  • Leverage data and insights to build targeted fan engagement strategies
PARTNERSHIPS AND PROMOTIONS
  • Liase across multiple stakeholders- producers, artists, digital partners, social media teams, Radio, Television and PR for strategical content placement
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT AND RELEASE STRATEGY
  • Collaborate with A&R to understand an artist’s vision and translate it into market-facing strategies.
  • Plan go-to-market strategies for singles, EPs, albums, and videos with consistent artist branding/positioning
ON GROUND ACTIVATION
  • Plan on-ground/ merchandising – non-traditional revenue based activations
Who you are:
  • 7-9 years of proven experience in marketing, brand management, and strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on consumer-centric strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to blend creativity with analytical thinking to drive impactful brand campaigns
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, including adaptability to local languages and regional nuances
  • Passionate about music, film, branding, and trendspotting, with a keen eye for emerging consumer behaviors
  • Native fluency in Tamil language is a must.
