Key Objectives of the Role
- Drive digital audio streaming revenue generation in line with allocated streaming and licensing targets.
- Grow the market share of Times Music and its sub-catalogues across Indian digital services by ensuring visibility through effective content programming, promotions, marketing initiatives, and editorial activities.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with Indian digital music streaming platforms
- Identify and capitalize on new revenue streams across the digital ecosystem.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and annual digital streaming revenue targets by pitching and promoting Times Music’s catalogue & new releases, bestsellers, and festival content to music streaming and OTT platforms.
- Ensure playlist placements of top-performing tracks and new releases across major Indian languages.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with editorial and partner teams across all digital services.
- Track and analyze performance metrics regularly, sharing insights with internal teams and sub-licensors.
- Monitor chart positions and genre performance of new releases across platforms.
- Track monthly income against targets and ensure timely reporting.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in the domestic Indian music market.
- Pursue business development opportunities, including new digital store/service launches for the Times Music catalogue.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations for new releases and maximize placements in playlists, push notifications, and marketing promotions.
- Share a monthly MIS with key stakeholders covering market share, streams, revenue, content performance, and other critical details.
- Translate data and analytics into actionable sales insights.
- Maintain a clear sales pipeline and present a monthly release schedule to digital partners.
- Enhance professional knowledge through active networking and engagement with digital streaming partners.
Key Skills Required
- Proven experience of 3 years to 5 years in business development and revenue generation within the digital or music sector.
- Strong passion for music with a deep understanding of key genres and regional languages.
- Persuasive communicator with a natural flair for relationship management.
- Creative thinker and problem solver with sound business acumen.
- Strong understanding of the digital ecosystem and emerging entertainment services/apps.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting data, analytics, and industry trends.
- Strong presentation, account management, and negotiation skills.
