The Role:
You’ll be how Grootin grows — in two ways at once. You’ll bring new artists and labels onto the platform, and you’ll turn our thousands of existing artists into our biggest growth channel by serving them brilliantly. It’s part relationship-builder, part community-builder, part problem-solver. It’s for someone who loves music, loves people, and gets a real kick out of watching a number climb because of something they did.
What You’ll Do:
● Bring in new artists and labels — through your own network, warm outreach, and relationships. Labels and artists with the following are gold: they bring others with them.
● Own our referral program end to end — build it, run it, keep improving it. Catch the happy moments (a release doing well, a good royalty month) and make referring to a friend effortless right then.
● Onboard new artists and labels to their first release live and first royalty — fast and smooth, so they get to the good part quickly.
● Be the warm, reliable human artists reach when they need help — replying quickly and clearly over WhatsApp and email, in Hindi and English, and guiding them through distribution questions and platform issues.
● Keep artists and labels happy and active — check in proactively, and win back the ones who go quiet.
● Build community and social proof — success stories, testimonials, artist spotlights, and a lively artist community.
● Be the voice of the artist inside Grootin — feed what you hear back to the product team so the platform keeps getting better.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days):
● A steady flow of new artists and labels coming on board every month.
● A working referral program live, with more new sign-ups coming from existing artists.
● Faster, more reliable artist support — the kind people mention to their friends.
● More artists reaching their first release and first royalty, faster; artists who’d gone quiet coming back.
What We’re Looking For:
● 2+ years in customer success, account management, community, or artist/label relations (music, creator, or SaaS backgrounds all welcome).
● A warm and persuasive communicator — people trust you and act on your nudges.
● Fluent in Hindi and English.
● Proactive and self-driven — you reach out, run programs, and chase outcomes; you don’t wait for things to come to you.
● Comfortable with numbers — you can track referrals, activation, and retention, and actually move them. Bonus points if you know the independent music world (distribution, streaming, royalties), you’ve run referral programs or communities, or you already have relationships with artists, managers, or labels.
