Saregama India is hiring an AM/DM, Music Distribution in Mumbai to identify and sign emerging independent artists, acquire music labels and catalogues, negotiate artist contracts, and coordinate music releases.
The role requires strong knowledge of the music ecosystem, artist community, music distribution, catalogue acquisition, and industry partnerships, with the ability to build relationships with artists, managers, producers, songwriters, and labels.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive professional with prior experience of working closely with the music artist community and labels – ideally in artist management, distribution or a related domain. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the music ecosystem and a passion for discovering and nurturing emerging talent.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify rising independent artists on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Spotify etc.
• Sign and manage artists for distribution
• Identify labels / catalogues for acquisition. Evaluate revenues and close contracts for acquisition
• Negotiate contract with artist
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners for releases
• Monitor and analyze KPI’s
• Attend showcases and artist community events
• Build relationships with managers/producers/songwriters
