Arjun, Founder & CEO of Shark & Ink, is a prominent force in India’s live entertainment and talent ecosystem, known for building one of the country’s most dynamic culture-led companies. Under his leadership, Shark & Ink has evolved into a multi-vertical powerhouse spanning talent management, touring, entertainment curation, music supervision and experiential content. Over the years, he has cultivated a strong roster of artists including The Yellow Diary, Taaruk Raina, Akshath, Sartek, Dino James and more, establishing the company as a key player in shaping India’s independent music and pop culture landscape.
Early Career & Music
Arjun began his career early on. While still in college, he co-founded a nightlife networking startup called Spotted Club and went on to organise the most iconic events in Mumbai and Delhi. He served as an artist coordinator for live bands at the first Hard Rock Cafe in India . Post college, he went on to join a leading media conglomerate, where he gained hands-on experience across large-scale entertainment properties and cultural IPs. During this phase, he worked on marquee projects such as Sunburn, the Commonwealth Championship, Supercar Show and Miss Universe India, developing a strong foundation in event management, brand partnerships and audience engagement. This exposure to high-impact entertainment formats helped him understand the intersection of music, culture, and commerce early on.
Transition to Entrepreneurship
Identifying a gap in India’s evolving nightlife and live entertainment ecosystem, Arjun founded Shark & Ink as a nightlife consulting and event curation agency. What began as a niche advisory venture quickly scaled into a full-fledged entertainment company as he expanded into artist management, touring, and culture-led programming. His entrepreneurial journey has been marked by an ability to anticipate cultural shifts, moving from nightlife to the broader independent music boom, and building a business that adapts to both artist needs and audience behaviour.
