After its virtual edition in 2020, Ziro Festival of Music is back in person this year. The festival, which has had nine editions so far, is ensuring a wider reach than before through a collaboration with short video app Roposo among other initiatives.
As the official Live Entertainment Partner for the fest, the short video commerce platform will broadcast the festival directly to users’ devices. The platform will live stream more than 25 hours of content from Ziro Valley, covering a total of 28 artist performances across the span of four days. Plus, more than 15 artists from the festival will get the opportunity to perform exclusive live music shows as well as engage with the millions of viewers on the platform during the Ziro Festival of Music. Additionally, the festival will also be simulcasted on Glance – Roposo’s parent app – with nearly 200 million plus viewers getting access to the festival.
As part of the festival’s endeavours to scale up after the pandemic, Ziro Festival of Music has launched an eponymous app specifically focused on navigating the event’s schedule, available on both android and iOS stores. ”
The outdoor music event has also been at the centre of a collaboration with the UK’s Focus Wales since 2020, supported by the British Council and Art Council of Wales. This partnership extends to Ziro Focus, a virtual festival that explores the metaverse while sparking cross cultural collaborations such as Manipur folk singer Mangka and singer-songwriter Eadyth from Wales. The duo’s song ‘ReRaReHei’ will soon be released as an NFT following their live performance on October 1.
