Gaana recently made two major organisational changes in its Content team. Saikat Roy joined as the VP & Content Head and Amit Sharma as the AVP (Content Licensing).
With an experience of over 17 years in Information Technology & Services as the Vice President at Publicis Sapient, Boston, U.S.A, Saikat shall be responsible for Content Strategy and Operations at Gaana.
Amit Sharma before joining Gaana as the AVP (Content Licensing) was the Head of Music and Telecom at Eros Music. Amit’s at Gaana shall be responsible for all Content licensing discussions and will be reporting to Saikat.
On this occasion, Prashan Agarwal, CEO, Gaana commented,
“The team has already started working and are now fully upto speed on all Gaana activities. We are very excited to grow the music ecosystem together”
While the music streaming business in India is toughening, new music streaming apps are getting into the market.
That said, Gaana recently reached the mark of 125 million monthly active users. It is also believed that the app generates almost 3 billion streams per month.
