Thank you for changing our world, Riff master Malcolm Young

Celebrated for enthralling audiences with his captivating and unforgettable performances on stage as a guitarist, backing vocalist, songwriter and visionary, perfectionist will be an underwhelming expression to describe the repertoire of Malcolm Mitchell Young. In the world of rock n roll, his legacy lives on.

Coming from the league of gentlemen who were musicians first and stars later, he was the driving force behind the band AC/DC. Malcolm, along with Angus, was the founder and creator of the legendary band. Scottish-Australian musicians introduced the fanatics to a whole new world of music in 1973 and the rest we have definitely heard at some point in life.

Many bands have come and gone, but only few can stir up the adrenaline like AC/DC. If you haven’t rolled down your windows, mashed the accelerator while Angus and Malcolm on guitar blasting through the sound system, about time you experience the thrill.

Having created the greatest rock n’ roll band of all time, our children’s children will be stomping their feet and making large arcing sweeps on their air guitars to your anthems. As he continued to strike a chord with millions over the decades, numerous across the globe were inspired to pick up the guitar and play. From composing several innocuous tunes to marking out tracks, Malcolm was the best rhythm guitarist.

AC/DC’s music has been the soundtrack of million lives. When feeling blue Thunderstruck manages to always lift the spirit high, while most enjoyed Highway to Heaven, Highway to Hell is still an all-time favourite for a few. No matter what we do, there is a song to fall back on for every situation and emotion. It can be rather tricky to pin down the single most favourite AC/DC track, so let’s look at the ultimate eight.

  • Back in Black
The band has amazing songs, but this is the easily the greatest. For many, it is the theme song of AC/DC. Oh and, the guitar riff, need I say more?

  • Thunderstruck
If the intro of this song doesn’t get you I don’t know what will. So much so that the intro still blow you away. By far, this is the most energetic song ever.

  • Highway to Hell
Intro riff, drums coming in sync, classic AC/DC. Top notch! Also, it is the best promoter of no fear of hell.

  • It’s Long Way to the top
This is one song you can totally get hooked to and never get bored. Of course, if you wanna rock ‘n’ roll.

  • You Shook Me All Night Long
This one is beautiful. The melody is soothing and the song itself is absolutely catchy.

  • T.N.T
With the unbeatable m-riff, and lyric make this song is a dynamite!

  • Hell Bells
The depth of lyrics and complexity makes it rather difficult not to move with it. And, Malclom’s solo with those bells is unbelievable.

  • Those About to Rock (We Salute You)
For most fans, this song equals to getting an emotionally high and a shiver down with excitement.

AC/DC is, and always will be, one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Alas, for those about to rock, we salute you. In the eternal words of Bon Scott, rock in peace, Malcolm Young.
