Spotify is now available on PlayStation in India

Spotify is now available on PlayStation Music in India. Spotify users in India can now access millions of songs and playlists on PS4 and PS3 devices.

Spotify on PlayStation Music which launched in 2015 globally is rolling out to more developing territories, giving users a great way to listen to their favorite tracks while playing their favorite games. Spotify on PlayStation Music will launch in Colombia, Argentina, India, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Lebanon.

With more than 50 million songs and 3 billion playlists, there are plenty of music choices for gamers to listen to while playing. It works for both free and paid tiers, so the user doesn’t need a subscription to use Spotify on PlayStation.

Any user who hasn’t previously subscribed to Spotify Premium’s monthly subscription service is eligible to sign up for a free one-month trial, which gives users access to ad-free high-quality audio and more perks from Spotify. An existing Spotify user can also link the Spotify account to PS Music compatible devices.

To make controlling the music even easier, PS4 and PS3 users will be able to take advantage of the Spotify Connect feature on the official Spotify app for Android/iOS. User can select a playlist, skip songs, adjust the volume, and more. PS4 owners can also let friends and family know what tracks they’re listening to using PS4’s share button feature.

Lastly, PlayStation Music also supports the PS4’s Share functionality, which means users can let their fellow PlayStation friends know what tracks they are currently listening to on Spotify.

The streaming giant’s Premium is an ongoing subscription with a regular subscription fee which is deducted from the user’s wallet (at the then current PS Store price). At the end of your trial, the subscription will continue and the user will be billed for the next month’s access (at the then current price) unless the user cancels the subscription before the end of the trial.

Recently, Spotify launched Spotify Lite Beta in India.

  1. The OP is probably aware that it is not available in the Indian PS Store.

What I (and probably OP) would like to know is how do we ask the Spotify folks and playstation folks to click on the check box that will enable the app in the Indian store.
