Shor Police Present John Mayer in Shor-Style

Shor Police comprising of the incredible composer-producer-arranger Clinton Cerejo and Bianca Gomes will present the songs of contemporary Blues-Pop superstar John Mayer in their signature style in the upcoming edition of PayTM Insider’s Jim Beam Originals.

The online gig is due to be performed on Feb 27, 2021. The concert series has been curated and promoted by Turnkey Music Publishing Pvt. Ltd. and Music Plus.

Clinton Cerejo is a name to reckon with in the advertising and Bollywood circles in Mumbai owing to an illustrious two decade-long career, had his own take,

“John Mayer is a very guitar centric guy and we as a band are electronic so it was very difficult to interpret his songs.”

The band’s intention was to move away from the ordinary as explained by renowned drummer Gino Banks,

“It was a lot of fun. I have worked with Clinton and Bianca in various projects over the years having known them for a long time. Very happy to be playing the great music of John Mayer – some of my favourite grooves to play and song arrangements re-imagined brilliantly by Shor Police to give it a real Original touch.”

It’s not surprising for the duo to close in on multiple Grammy-winning John Mayer’s marvellous discography. Mayer has achieved stratospheric fame with his acoustic guitar-driven songwriting, particularly for his concert-regular hit Your Body is a Wonderland.

“As much we love these songs it was very challenging for us”, told a very optimistic Bianca.

Meanwhile Clinton who has composed the film scores of iconic films like Kahaani, Teen, Jugni, Badla, and Dedh Ishqiya, as well as produced and arranged music for blockbusters like Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Omkaara, Kaminey, amongst others.

With Bianca Gomes on Vocals, Nathan Thomas on Bass, the superb Gino Banks n Drums and Beven Fonseca on Keyboards this is going to be a fun affair.
