The role is responsible to build and execute an innovative merchandizing strategy in alignment with the label strategy to a) enhance the visibility of the label and its roster of artists/songs and b) drive fan engagement. The incumbent will work closely with various SME labels to to create new merch keeping in mind the current culture and market trends.
What you’ll do:
- Develop a merchandising strategy in alignment with the label strategy and artist vision and the current trends and opportunities in music and pop culture.
- Oversee the design and development of merch/products as per the label and artist strategy.
- Identify and collaborate with multiple platforms for marketing and sales of merch
- Analyze sales data and fan behavior (qualitiave and quantitative) to optimize merchandising strategies and product offerings.
- Manage the merch budget and revenue goals
- Stay updated on current fashion, merchandising, retail and pop culture trends in the music industry.
- Propose innovative ideas for special collections, limited editions, and exclusive collaborations to boost sales and brand loyalty.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the fashion or entertainment industry
- Degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of artist branding, fan engagement, pop culture, fashion trends, e-commerce, digital marketing, negotiation skills, ability to interpret sales and consumer data
- Passion for music, fashion, and pop culture.
