Udayswar@Prithvi is a rare and truly unique acoustic experience of Indian Classical Music in the manner it was originally designed, for an intimate Baithak.
Based on the 8 Prahars (timespans) of the day, this Indian Classical Music concert features morning ragas of the 2nd Prahar performed by various artistes.
Sanjeev Chimmalgi – Vocal
Born in a family with a legacy of music, Sanjeev Chimmalgi is one of the most prominent Hindustani classical vocalists of the present generation and one of the senior-most disciple of legendary vocalist Pandit C.R.Vyas.
Sanjeev’s singing is noted for its fluidity and grace and ability to weave the various important aspects of the Kirana, Gwalior and Agra gharanas.
He has also been an avid explorer of popular forms such as bhajan, sugam sangeet, film-song (playback) and contemporary fusion. Presently, Sanjeev is widely admired among music connoisseurs and music lovers for his studious approach and a structured understanding of the raga in his musical renditions.
