Apple Music has just announced that it is officially introducing music videos to its platform with a new ‘extensive catalogue’ that it says makes it ‘home to the best music video-watching experience available anywhere’. Apple Music now streams music videos uninterrupted by ads. Users can watch the hottest new videos, classics or ones from their favourite artists back-to-back in new music video playlists.
In addition, Apple has announced that the platform will ‘regularly debut new, exclusive music videos from superstars and rising stars alike’.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift pops up on Twitter with a message saying that her brand new single will have an entirely new video for the song coming this evening. Oh yes, as Spotify exclusive. The new single Delicate was premiered at the iHeartRadio Music Awards around two weeks ago.
All of this is happening, YouTube also prepares the big reveal of its own new music streaming service, which is now expected to arrive over the next two months.
Video playlists available now on Apple Music include Today’s Video Hits, The A-List: Pop Videos, Classic Dance Moves and many more. Subscribers can also build their own music video playlists, add their favourites to their library and download for offline viewing anytime.
