Umbria String Quartet – Italy/Classical/Chamber

bFLAT in association with Pragrup architects is thrilled to present the Umbria Ensemble String Quartet, from Perugia, Italy. The Umbria Ensemble String Quartet (3 violins and a cello), who have a very illustrious western classical entourage in the Tuscany Region, will perform a collection of Musical Masterpieces such as: J. PACHELBEL – Canon in D Major W.A. MOZART – Eine kleine NachtMusik KV525
T. ALBINONI – Adagio – G. ROSSINI – Sonata no.1 in G major
P. MASCAGNI – Intermezzo da Cavalleria Rusticana
G. ROSSINI – La Gazza ladra (Ouverture)
J.S. BACH – Air on the fourth string
A. VIVALDI – Allegro from the A maj. Concert

Soloists of considerable fame, and accomplished chamber music players of great artistic worth, each of them come with a solid Western classical formation that has provided them the initial momentum for the ensemble’s artistic journey, embracing a myriad of styles and developments in the most refined musical language. 
From romanticism to the avant-garde – this powerhouse of talent have embraced a broad variety of musical genres right up to the latest expressions of today’s Music –  their repertoire and the interpretative style of the “Umbria Ensemble” is characterized by a vital dynamism that has led the group to measure itself against, and produce concerts and events in cooperation with, the most interesting artistic undertakings of the moment (in the fields of Theatre, Cinema and Dance), in the belief that the boundaries separating Art Forms and Languages are of a purely academic nature. 
The inescapable characteristics of the ensemble’s work are, in fact, the unquestionable, constantly excellent quality of its performances, and its openness to new artistic and cultural developments.
