Incredible Indie! Ft. Taba Chake, Sabu & Mahesh

June 8, 9:00 pm

As bFLAT Indiranagar continues to celebrate its milestone 10th anniversary as an independent performance venue in Bangalore, it also continues to support independent, original music. This time we have 3 very special acts in store for you all!

Taba Chake is a finger-style guitar player, singer-songwriter from a small town called Doimukh in Arunachal Pradesh. Having grown up in a Nyishi tribal family, his music is inspired by tribal folklore, birds and nature. He sings in Hindi, Nyishi and English and has been recognised for his unique vocals, songwriting and percussive performance style.

Next in line is SABU, a singer – songwriter based in Mumbai, who creates music with influences ranging from indie folk, alt rock and soul. SABU’s music takes on its own unique character while taking inspiration from artists like Andrew Bird, Ben Howard & Bon Iver, among others, to fuel his own compositions.

Our Final act of the evening, Mahesh, has a style of music that has been compared to John Mayer and Damien Rice in a sort of Alt Rock/Folk genre, influenced by the blues. Mahesh is a very compelling performer – his superior song writing is filled with passion and raw emotion, strong melodies and deft guitar playing that tells its own stories, add to the sound of his band.
