Check where your song stands on this week’s Plus Chart

This week on ‘Plus Chart’ (28th June 2019- 4th July 2019), there is one major change in rankings along with two new entries.

Slow Motion from Bharat saw a drop in rankings after 3 weeks from being the chart-topper to landing three positions lower. Arijit Singh’s version of Bekhayali and Tera Ban Jaunga both from Kabir Singh are the two new entries in this week’s ‘Plus Chart’ who have landed on the 8th and 9th positions respectively.

Bekhayali has been topping the chart for the last 4 weeks whereas, Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage climbed up a position from last week.

The Hook Up Song from Student of the Year 2 and Ve Maahi from Kesari are on the 4th and 5th positions same as the previous week.

Chale Aana from De De Pyaar De and First Class from Kalank are on 6th and 7th position, both climbing up a rank from last week.

Duniyaa from Luka Chuppi dropped 4 positions and finished the week at the bottom of the chart.

Bollywood on an average produces 250 movies every year. It is also one of the most popular genres of Indian music. The shelf-life of the songs is very short; despite the variety, every movie brings through. It does not take long for these songs to fade into oblivion. The number of mushrooming streaming platforms and individual lists make it difficult to get the exact ranking of a song.

India is expected to reach 627 million internet users by the end of 2019. According to a report by Nielsen Music on the Indian music industry, music is not only a universal part of the country’s culture but also consists of 94% of the Indian online population which listens to music.
