CEOWORLD magazine came out with the list of top music schools from around the globe.
The classification process takes into account global reputation and influence, specialisation, admission eligibility, and academic experience as well as data from over 20,000 students and 25,000 industry professionals. The measurement criteria included quality of education, job placements of students, and the recruiter’s feedback — without relying on university data submissions.
New York’s Juilliard School has been named the best music school in the world for 2019 by the magazine, while Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory of Music in Boston placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Also making the name in the list is the prestigious Moscow Imperial Conservatory in Russia (No. 4) as well as the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in Austria (No. 5), UK’s Royal College of Music South Kensington, London (No. 6) and Yale School of Music, New Haven, Connecticut (No. 7).
Overall, among the top 10 best music schools in the world, the 8th, 9th, and 10th positions are held by Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Ohio, Conservatoire de Paris (Paris Conservatory), and Royal Academy of Music London, United Kingdom.
The world’s top music institutes for 2019 by the CEOWORLD magazine is based on six major indicators of quality, overall Score (100%) is the sum of:

2) Admission Eligibility
3) Job Placement Rate
4) Recruiter Feedback
6) Global Reputation and Influence
According to CEOWORLD, data for these indicators have been collected from publicly available sources, the university’s website, research, and survey.
